Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 2 tbsps Butter
- 8 ozs Baby Bella Mushrooms sliced
- 1 White Onion diced
- 1 cup White Rice
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Cajun Seasoning
- 3 1⁄2 cups Beef Broth
Instructions
Cook and crumble the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until brown then drain the excess grease and set the beef aside for later.
Melt the butter in the skillet then cook the mushrooms and onions until soft, about 8 minutes.
Stir in the rice, garlic powder, onion powder, and Cajun seasoning, and cook for 5 minutes to toast the rice.
Pour in the broth and cooked beef then turn the heat up to high and stir.
Once simmering, reduce the heat to low, taste the broth, and add salt if needed.
Cover with a well-fitted lid and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the rice is cooked through.
Serve with fresh thyme sprigs for garnish if desired.
